Why is my JSON invalid when it looks fine?
Nearly always a trailing comma, single quotes instead of double, or an unquoted key. JSON is stricter than JavaScript object syntax — all three are legal in JS and illegal in JSON.
Does formatting change my data?
No. Only whitespace changes. Key order is preserved as written and values are untouched.
Is it safe to paste sensitive JSON here?
It is parsed in your browser and not transmitted, and ad scripts are excluded from this page. Even so, treat any browser tool with care when handling production secrets.
