Google SERP Simulator

Preview a page title and search description.

Runs locally

A SERP simulator renders your title and meta description the way a search result displays them, showing where each will be cut off. Google truncates by pixel width rather than character count, so wide characters run out of room sooner.

How Google SERP Simulator works

What it does

Preview a page title and search description.

What you get

A visual search snippet preview, not a live Google ranking.

What if a check cannot finish?

Confirm your input and try again. A timeout, blocked request, or unavailable provider is not proof that a domain is broken. Internet measurements and third-party services have limits.

Google SERP Simulator — frequently asked questions

How long should a title tag be?

Roughly 50–60 characters, but the real limit is around 580 pixels on desktop. Front-load the important words so a truncation still reads sensibly.

Does the meta description affect rankings?

Not directly. It affects click-through, which is worth the effort on its own. Google also rewrites descriptions often when it judges another snippet fits the query better.

Why does Google show different text than I wrote?

It substitutes on-page text when that better matches the query. A well-written description is used more often, but it is a suggestion rather than a directive.
